Mekong Delta

A day trip to Ben Tre, a province that specialises in Coconuts and fruit. Visit a local farm, enjoy its produce, and experience traditional folk singing that originated in the area. Travel by small boat through the green tunnels of Water Palm then take a horse cart ride to lunch. After lunch visit the stunning Vinh Trang Pagoda, built in 1849, in a mixture of  Asian and European styles

Cu Chi

Visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, about 50Km from HCM City, to see the 250km tunnel network built during the 30 year war in the south.

• searched for Australia’s six Viet Nam War MIAs and successfully found the remains of two, 

•  took staff of the Australian War Memorial, including the Senior Historian, on a study tour of Viet Nam, 

• lived in a country village in Viet Nam for more than half a decade.
